// March 27th, 2011 // No Comments » // Audio

Terell and I were super excited to learn that the canucks would be getting behind his remix of Black and Yellow, which pays homage to the top team in the NHL. Canucks.com featured it front and center on their site, and views skyrocketed to over 100k in just a couple days. Check out the official video, directed by our friend Blake McRitchie, here below:

Terell Safadi – Black Red Yellow (Black and Yellow Remix)

// January 29th, 2011 // No Comments » // Audio

Rapper / Skateboarder Terell Safadi just dropped a Black and Yellow remix, titled “Black Red Yellow”, a homage to the throwback Vancouver Canuck’s Jerseys of the 90′s. My favorite NHL team is having a banner year so far, and Terell’s anthem really captures the pride and energy of a city behind it’s team. Check it out:

Terell is currently recording a record with me here at Creativ Recording Studios, set for release this summer.

MUSIC VIDEO: The Trillionaire$ “Hollywood Square” feat. Moka Only & Frank Nitt

// November 5th, 2010 // No Comments » // Audio

New music video from Sweatshop Union Presents: The Trillionaire$, directed by Stuey Kubrick. This track is off the album “By Hook or By Crook”, which debuted top 10 on the iTunes hiphop charts here in Canada. The song was mixed & mastered by me here at Creativ Recording Studios. Have a look:

PS – Don’t think I have noticed my trend of only posting videos up. Admittedly, it’s an easy, visually stimulating way out of having to find time to come up with my own content. That said I’m looking forward to writing some interesting new articles soon, so keep an eye out for that.

// September 14th, 2010 // No Comments » // Audio

New music video from the Sweatshop Union Presents: Dirty Circus record “Alive and Well”, directed by our friend Stuey Kubrick. This is one of my favorite tracks on the record, and was real fun to mix & master. Vancouver local Chin Injeti kils it on bass/synth/guitars. Check it:

VIDEO – Caspian “P.O.P.” / Studio Footage

// September 4th, 2010 // No Comments » // Audio, In The Studio

This latest video from Caspian was filmed live during our recording session here at Creativ Recording Studios. Its an aggressive track, which I understand may be a contender for his upcoming record, possibly as the intro track. This video is especially interesting because it takes you right into the moments of recording the song, and I even get a cameo or two. The video was filmed and edited by Blake McRitchie for Stompdown Killaz / FilmThis. Check it:

In The Studio: Hilary Grist – My Valley Road

// July 23rd, 2010 // No Comments » // Audio, In The Studio

Stunning performance by Hilary Grist captured here at Creativ Recording Studios by Mike Southworth. Hillary co-wrote and preformed the song for soundtrack of David King’s “Every Other Tuesday”, in which she appears as well. Have a listen to one of my favorite voices:

MUSIC VIDEO: Pigeon Hole – Bonfire (Dir: Stuey Kubrick)

// July 21st, 2010 // No Comments » // Audio, Blog Post

Pigeon Hole & Stuey Kubrick Present:

New video from Pigeon Hole, directed by our friend Stuey Kubrick. This song was one of the most fun to make on the record – it’s a real trip. The build up at the end has literally dozens of layers of little percussion sounds building into a giant crescendo. This video features hidden treasure, space men, and…. bonfires.

Who is Sara Brudner?

Sara Brudner is an amazingly graceful singer/songwriter residing in Vancouver, Canada. I had the pleasure of working with her, engineering a 6 song EP which is set for release August 27th, 2010. The record has a very lush and organic vibe. Production was handled by Josh Parsons, who brought a very unique and effective sensibility to the boards.
